Dear Community Members,
Chatsworth Avenue Elementary School was established in 1902, as part of the Mamaroneck School District. It's a school that is committed to preserving history and traditions of the past, while infusing innovative ideas to prepare students for the 21st century.
Joy and love of learning inspires Chatsworth’s ultimate goal of creating a community of lifelong independent learners. Continuing to create and cultivate citizens who are kind, resilient, critical thinkers with global awareness is our mission. This is accomplished through our highly qualified teachers and staff who are committed to educational excellence, including high standards for success and positive attitudes through fostering a grow mindset in all. We lead by example at Chatsworth.
Chatsworth is fortunate to have a very active parent body that support programs such as art appreciation, Chatsworth's garden, chess, cultural arts , author visits, recess programming and mindfulness initiatives. Believe it or not, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to enrichment from our PTA. Our specials teachers also enhance our strong academics through music, art, physical education, computer and library. The team effort enables all students to discover their passion for learning throughout their years at Chatsworth.
Chatsworth is a gem that is surrounded by an amazing community, the Long Island Sound and a plethora of local resources that enable the school to thrive. We feel honored to serve as Chatsworth's building leaders.
Sincerely,
Katie Andersen
